resolved — NY State Senate workplace-conduct investigation (cleared)
In June 2024, three former staffers of then-State Senator John Mannion published an anonymous open letter alleging a hostile and intimidating work environment in his Albany office. The New York State Senate retained outside attorney Michael Murphy of Barclay Damon LLP to investigate. In August 2024, the investigator's confidential report, submitted to the Secretary of the Senate, concluded that Mannion had not violated the Senate's Policy to Prevent Harassment and Discrimination. The full report was not made public.
